Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between you (“the Client”) and Megan Evans (“the Tutor”) for online tutoring services.

By booking or attending a session, you agree to the following terms.

1. Services

The Tutor provides online tutoring in maths, English and related academic support for students aged approximately 9–14.

Sessions are delivered online via platforms such as Google Meet or similar.

2. Bookings

  • Sessions must be booked in advance by a parent or guardian

  • Bookings are confirmed once agreed via email/message or through an online booking system

  • The Tutor reserves the right to decline or reschedule bookings if necessary

​

3. Payment

  • Payment is required in advance of each session unless otherwise agreed

  • Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, Stripe, PayPal or similar

  • Prices are stated in [GBP/USD] and will be agreed at the time of booking

Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of the session.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full

  • If the Tutor needs to cancel, an alternative time will be offered or a refund provided

​

5. Late Arrivals and Missed Sessions

  • If a student arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time

  • Missed sessions without notice are non-refundable

​

6. Online Sessions and Conduct

  • A parent or responsible adult must be aware that sessions are taking place

  • Students are expected to behave respectfully and engage appropriately

  • The Tutor reserves the right to end a session if behaviour is inappropriate

​

7. Safeguarding and Recording

  • Sessions are conducted in a professional and safe manner

  • Sessions are not recorded

  • The Tutor does not share student information, images or work with third parties

​

8. Educational Outcomes

  • The Tutor will provide high-quality, personalised support

  • However, no guarantees are made regarding specific academic outcomes or results

​

9. Communication

  • Communication will be with the parent or guardian unless otherwise agreed

  • Feedback may be provided informally or at agreed intervals

​

10. Liability

  • The Tutor is not liable for:

    • Technical issues outside their control (e.g. internet problems)

    • Outcomes of external exams or school assessments

​

11. Data Protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on this website.

​

12. Changes to Terms

The Tutor reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. The latest version will always be available on this page.
